Staycation

When in the Commonwealth, don’t forget to visit our state capital Richmond.  “Why?’ you asked because of the mile stretch of hipness in Carytown.  My top fave:  Nacho Mamas (sit outside, enjoy your ‘rita on the patio and people-watch), pencil this to your schedule “Carytown Sidewalk sale on Mother’s Day”.  If your in the bottom, Shockhoe Bottom that is, listen to the rap-tap-tapping at your chamber door.  Edgar Allan Poe museum this is a must  even if you failed English Lit.  The touch, the feel of vinyl.  Remember when we used to get exited about LP’s.  Relived that experience over and over again at Plan 9’s.  Shop and pillage Pink.  If you don’t like to shop, drink, eat or read hmmm maybe James River Park is your best bet.  You can go bouldering, or take your Kayak and paddle, rock climb (location top secret), go hiking and yes kids can handle the terrain.  I know, I tested it with mine.  So enjoy your staycation.

How many screens do you own?

Whether you own a  52″ inch  flat-screen or an archaic tube TV, count how many screeens do you have at home?    I have five:  2 TV’s, 2 computers and a lap top.  Don’t forget the ones in your car or SUV.  Then get back with me with your response.
